Advanced Earth Science
An accelerated, inquiry-based class that explores topics in geology, astronomy, oceanography, and meteorology.
Students will complete a science fair project that addresses a topic of study. At the end of the semester, students are required
to complete the Virginia Earth Science S.O.L. test that will assess student mastery of the course topics. Successful
completion of the S.O.L. test and the class are required by the state of Virginia.

Science

General Biology
Emphasizes the processes of scientific investigation
through the study of living things in the classroom and laboratory settings. The nature of science will begin our investigations
into the study of life. We will also study the cell, the chemistry of life, DNA and heredity, ecology and kingdom classification.
At the end of the semester, students are required to complete the Virginia Biology S.O.L. test that will assess student
mastery of the course topics. Successful completion of the S.O.L. test and the class are required by the state of Virginia.
